seniors, the back to school picnic is coming up
blackwood's famous homecoming carnival and dance
BLACKWOOD, CALIFORNIA--
Blackwood Academy. Just your regular, average, everyday school, right? Sure. The students take any class any other student would, the school is dominated and divided by different social groups, the students all drink underage and go out on the weekends and have a good time they way they would anywhere else. Sure, they go to school in a building almost 140 years old, but everything has been updated and modernized for convenience. The campus is beautiful and filled with lots of little nooks and crannies that make a prefect place to curl up with a book. There are huge fireplaces in some of the main building areas, which are often lit and make great places to hang out with your friends. Just a picture perfect place with picture perfect views and picture perfect people.
Right?
Wrong.

the money system;; Every member walks in with a certain amount of money, as parents are required to provided their children with a stipend once per half year, but that stipend varies based on what your parents are able to pay. Students who choose to live in on campus housing during the summer will need an even greater stipend or apply for a grant. Even those students here on scholarship get a stipend from the school.
If you have a job, an amount of money equivalent to twenty hours' work is added to your bank bi-week. Different jobs pay different amounts per hour, but all jobs are tax-free, thanks to a wonderful law.
If you live in off-campus housing, a certain amount of money is deducted bi-weekly from you account for cost-of-living expenses. Though the house is covered in your tuition, food and utilities are not, and that is deducted from your money.
Other than that, money will be deducted from your account once a month because you're probably gone out to dinner or something. ATTENTION: Your stipend is just enough to keep you afloat if you're a scholarship student, so you should probably get a job as soon as you can. You can't live off campus on a stipend, you need a job.
The stipend you receive is based on your financial status. The wealthier your parents are, the more money you receive. If for some reason your situation is different, and you should not receive the customary monthly stipend, but more or less, PM an admin and we will figure it out.
