seniors, the back to school picnic is coming up
blackwood's famous homecoming carnival and dance
BLACKWOOD, CALIFORNIA--
Blackwood Academy. Just your regular, average, everyday school, right? Sure. The students take any class any other student would, the school is dominated and divided by different social groups, the students all drink underage and go out on the weekends and have a good time they way they would anywhere else. Sure, they go to school in a building almost 140 years old, but everything has been updated and modernized for convenience. The campus is beautiful and filled with lots of little nooks and crannies that make a prefect place to curl up with a book. There are huge fireplaces in some of the main building areas, which are often lit and make great places to hang out with your friends. Just a picture perfect place with picture perfect views and picture perfect people.
Right?
Wrong.

Jane shifted her metallic tote on her shoulder, heading towards the intersection of the Academy's two main hallways. Though the area was busy when students were on their way to class, things had mostly quieted down now. Jane knew that there was a comfortable nook just off from the interesection, where she would be able to sit and, hopefully, get some work done.
She settled her things around her, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor. Jane stretched out her legs, feeling a slight pull in her hamstrings as she flexed her feet, she was wearing heels and her calves had become a little tight. She dug through her schoolbag for her planner, her constant companion. She would be lost without it; with all of her activities, Jane had to write everything down. As it was her junior year, she had made sure to sign up for three sports, as well as add prom committee to her already packed schedule. She still had to pencil in time for community service at the free clinic, but as she still had to work out the details with the receptionist, it could wait.
But she still had homework and social events to worry about, one of the main reasons she was taking whatever time she could find to finish as much of her homework as she could between class periods. Jane had several pages of reading for Anatomy, with review activities at the end of the chapter. She pulled the test from her bag and settled into working.
♥♥♥♥♥ Alex walked quickly down the hall of the building. She was furious with another girl and decided to go take a walk and cool off. Her high black heals clicked lightly on the hard tile as she walked. She wore very short shorts and a white shirt that had big blue words on it that said, Hollister. She carried a small bag that matched the dull navy blue of her worded shirt. Alex did not straighten her long hair today, instead, it flew back as she walked, its waves draping her back and shoulders in a beautiful brown. She wore a gloss on her lips, making them shine. Little blush was applyed today, but a deep navy blue eyeshadow as well as black eyeliner and mascara were there. She blinked as she turned a corner, her multicolored, light eyes flashed around as she looked at passing teachers and students.
♥♥♥♥♥ Alex was relitively new to the area, but she had met a lot of people. Like her, her sister also went to the school. The only difference, Casey was a freshmen while Alex was a junior. Oh how Alex longed to beat the crud out of Rayne. Why would the girl not listen to her! God knows. Alex slowed her steps, the clicking of her heals a bit louder as she walked gracefully down another hall. That was a good thing about her job of being a stripper. You get very good at walking in majorly high heals. Alex noticed a girl sitting, back against a wall. Alex shivered as she thought about all the crap that is on the walls and the floor. No, she was not a germ freak, but still. Who in their right mind would risk getting their outfit covered in the hallway filth! Yuck! Alex smiled and appoched the girl. She had nothing to sit on, so she stood, slightly leaning on a window. The windows were a bit cleaner then the wall, you would think. Alex looked kindly at the girl. She looked about the same age. Hi. Im Alexandria. Alex for short. She smiled as her soft, sweet voice exited her mouth and entered the air. Although her voice was soft and sweet, Alex was a known bitch.

Jane looked up at the sound of someone approaching. A dark haired girl had come and leaned against the window, introducing herself as Alexandria. Alex. Jane recognized the girl, but they didn't have any classes together.
"Hey," Jane smiled genuinely, and gave a little wave, as it didn't appear as though the girl was planning on sitting and, polite or not, it didn't seem very sensible to stand just to greet the girl and then sit back down. "I'm Jane."
She tucked a lock of pin-straight hair behind her ear, crossing one ankle over another and smoothing a wrinkle from her low-rise, darkwash jeans. Her anatomy text lay open in her lap, ignored, for the moment.
"You're a junior, right?" She asked, if only to start conversation.
